FAQ

How do I import a deck from Moxfield or Archidekt?

Export your list as plain text and paste it into the importer in the Deck Builder or the Power Level calculator. Standard formats work: quantities ("1 Sol Ring"), a Commander: section, set codes in parentheses, and MTGO/Arena exports are all understood.

What are Commander Brackets, and why does my deck say Bracket 4?

Brackets (1–5) are the official Commander power-communication system. Certain things place a deck in higher brackets automatically: any Game Changer card moves you past Brackets 1–2, and mass land denial or a two-card combo places you at Bracket 4 or higher. Our detector shows exactly which cards triggered your bracket — see the methodology for the full rules.

Which printing's price am I seeing?

Card pages show the printing pictured; TCGplayer prices are market rates. Different printings of the same card can differ wildly — a $4 Commander Masters Yuriko coexists with much pricier promos.

Why does a recommendation seem off for my commander?

Synergy scores are computed from card text and shared strategy themes, not from harvested decklists — they're honest about being heuristic (how they work). If something looks genuinely wrong — not just spicy — please report it; real reports have already improved the engine.

Do I need an account?

No — browsing, deck building, importing, playtesting, and the power calculator all work without one. An account adds saved decks and a public profile. Accounts are free; we don't sell anything except our soul phylactery, which is not for sale either.

Are my saved decks public?

Yes. Saving a deck lists it in the public community decks browse, makes it searchable, and shows it on its commander's page so other players can find and playtest it — so don't save anything you want kept private. Your account details are covered in the privacy policy.

A card is banned / a new set just dropped — how fast do you update?

Card data and legality sync from Scryfall daily, and the Game Changers list syncs automatically — bans and list revisions typically appear within a day without manual intervention.
